Anvil of Jesus explores how an actual son of God, for whom unconditional love underpins all, would respond to various questions and challenges- and what he would ask of us. What would it be like to journey with a true God-aware Jesus? This archetypal Jesus is not from the Bible or history but reflects key qualities that are esteemed by most Christians and many non-Christians. This version of Jesus rests on love being the prime response to life- that truth is essential to love- and that Heaven, to exist, is bound by love and truth. In these stories I refer to the Holy Spirit and regard it as the unseen yet prevailing energy of truth and love at work - it sweeps through consciousness at times of resolution and brings profound peace and clarity.Miracles and belief in Godhead are not the focus of these stories- instead the stories aim to define the (inevitable) path along which miracles and God can be found.Anvil of Jesus can be viewed as a creative exploration, not based on constructions from the past, of what a loving God and a loving son of God must be. Against this the historic, the Biblical, and the numerous partial versions of Jesus and God can be compared - by those so interested. To make such an exploration the nature of love and truth need close examination. For example, the love that evaporates when enough conditions are not fulfilled is not the love that God would demonstrate. How can unconditional love and truth work? Anvil of Jesus shows a way.Read the Look Inside feature provided by Amazon for more. All the stories in this book follow a similar tone and form of presentation. The stories reflect a sincere encounter of spending time in the company of Jesus. Quite a number of people that have read these stories have found value in them- while others just havent. I cant say what sort of person will like them. Ive had both a nun and an atheist read them and both said publish the book.Be aware that the book does not subscribe to any churchs authority nor is there any historicity that underpins it. There is no group, following or organization behind this- its just one persons creative writing on a spiritual theme.Anvil of Jesus is offered as food for reflection, maybe comfort in times of difficulty, and occasionally a challenge to live more richly in Gods presence or at least by the essential qualities that define God.Ultimately, Anvil of Jesus speaks to warm hearts and open minds.Egen Kelly
